I noticed that a "Lloyd Huntley" made several records for Brunswick and
have seen him featured on several pieces of sheet music. What was
his singing style like? Was he a serious tenor like Scrappy Lambert, Franklyn Baur
or more laid back like Chester Gaylord, Dick Robertson?

Does anyone have any of his records?

I am curious to to hear what his style was like...

I have some Lloyd Huntley and his Isle O' Blues Orchestra ...... He was a bandleader and not a vocalist (that I know of).

Thanks. The Online Discography at http://settlet.fateback.com/
just listed his name as if he was a vocalist ...so I assumed he was
a vocalist since the listing consistently adds "and Orchestra" for
all the other non-vocal Brunswick recordings.

How is Huntley's orchestra anyway? Is he sweet or hot? smile.gif

On the sweet side, but good sweet........ NOT like "The Sweetest Music This Side Of Heaven" of the late 30s and 40s.
