I still have Joslin's Jazz Journal from May, 1999. On the front is a picture of Harry Halstead's 1927 Orchestra with girl vocalist Betty Patrick in low-waisted short skirt--the picture is described as being part of their Vitaphone Short. I'm assuming this was part of the Vitaphone project of several years back. I'm wondering if anyone has seen this particular short and if so, how one could get a copy of it. I have all three Dawn of Sound laser disc sets, but it's not amongst them.

Thanks for any help.

I now have a viewable copy on CD of Henry Halstead's 1927 Orchestra in Carnival Night in Paris. The Warner Brothers short is incredible!. Actor Lew Ayres is playing Banjo.
No sound exists on this short but the movie quality is superb. The earliest this CD Disk will be viewable to public will be Summer 2013. zinc200 - Austin TX.
