what about a program like wavepad or cool edit?
id love to get a mp3 of peanut vendor the one dismuke plays one with the peanut crunching sound effect. please . thanks. the worst sounding 78s are the paramount label ones very poor quality used materials. the red columbias are horrbile too with the cardboard core.
why did they do this with the red labels? they are horrible compaired to the brown, black or blue label versions.
so is that sites where u can download obscure dance bands and vocalists not jazz.

http://www.nbcchime s.info/ the history of the nbc chimes. and mp3 clips too. the neatest one is from 1924.the coolest part of this is the announcer says all the station call letters of stations that were on in 1924. i only wish more early 20s broacasts existed. im more intrested in the 20s and early 3o's cause these are very rare. thanks. for the info.

QUOTE(fanof20and30smusic @ Sep 19 2007, 05:34 AM) *
im only 34 but i like to find the 78s. the sound is so good on them compaired to the cd releases of the 78s.
i just found some great dance band 78s on brunswick and blue label columbia recently. i look for them all the time.
my uncle got me started listening to the 20s and 30s era music when i was a little kid. i didn't start collecting the 78s till recently cause i thought they could not be found. wish i could run up on some with commericals on them.
i like the commericals on here. the ones from the 20s and 30s not from 1940s-1960s.
oh well i'll never get copies of those. sad.gif
i want ones not on cd ornot all over the net.
