hi gang
has anyone ever heard of E.Power Biggs?and if you have was he good?i know he played organ but thats all.thanks.

E. Power Biggs was a household word among classical music lovers during the 1940's till his death in March of 1977.
He was born in March of 1906 in a small town east of London.
He played Classical Music such as Bach;Mozart;Buxtehude;etc and recorded for Columbia;RCA; & Technichord.His first records dated from 1938 and his last dated from 1976.There are 146 listings in his discography.

I prefer more romantic music and Romantic Organs like English Cathedral Types;Aeolian-Skinner;etc.
Love......Widor;Vierne that type of thing.
But I do have a fair number of Biggs records.
There are some GREAT CD's of the Wanamaker (macy's) Organ out now.
