FWIW, "Charlie Two Step" was written by Hoagy Charmichael.

I also like the version http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fb-vRxhWrnA - full of the unique style variations you expect from them.

Thanks laughland for the links. If I were living during that time, I guess I would've preferred the
Roanes version for dancing because the Bozzies would have mesmerized me so I couldn't have danced.

I assume that the 'Two-Step' was a popular dance of the period. Can't seem to find anything definitive
that might concur with my assumption. I did find a reference that the two-stepdated back to the late
1800's and was danced to John Phillip Sousa's The Washington Post. Found thatrather interesting.

And I assume also, that the western/country two-step is kin to the above.
