Thanx Lenny...She was quite a number wasn't she?
I understand from the book Russ Columbo and the Crooner Mystique that Columbo was her boytoy for awhile...and only because he reminded her so much of her beloved Rudy Valentino. He got pretty stuck on her, but she soon tired of him.

She - and various references to her - can be found easily by searching on YouTube. Just one example with good pictures:-

For a start, the pages look complicated. Then there's the question of quality control. Every time I look at it I stumble across a spelling error: "Burt Ambrose" should be "Bert", "Casini Club" should be "Casani Club", "paridise" should be "paradise"....And then they seem to accept files of very poor audio quality:why archive third-rate material?

Of course YouTube is by no means perfect but then YT doesn't pretend to be a serious archive.

Perhaps I've been unlucky but so far I much prefer spending time with YT. A year ago I had no idea that so much worthwhile stuff was to be found there, I imagined it was just a place for silly teenagers to post nonsense!

Anyway there's much more of Pola Negri to be found on YT than in the Internet Archive and some of the latter's material has been ripped from YT.
