A friend of mine is a grand-nephew or some such of Adelaide Howell, who sang in the 30's. She did a stint with the Whiteman band, and possibly did a recording of "Sweetie Pie" with them. She sang with other bands as well. We would like to find recordings by her, if indeed there were any. Does anybody here know of any, or indeed anything else of her career?
(The family archives include a rejection letter from Ozzie Nelson, so we think she didn't sing with him...) |
