Aaron's current topic about chicken songs reminded me of another favorite device used in the 20's--for want of a better term I call them the stutter songs. I don't know if When the Red Red Robin Comes Bob-Bob-Bobbin Along (1926) was the opening salvo for this device, but here are some other titles perhaps someone can furnish sound files for:

You are my Hap-Hap-Happiness - ?
What do we Do on a Dew-Dew-Dewy Day? - Shilkret
If I can Ba-Ba-Baby You - Missouri Jazz Band
When the Bab-bab-babbling Brook goes Bub-bub-bubling by - Colonial Club Orch.
Do-Do-Do what you Done-Done-Done Before, Baby
Nothin' Does-Does Like it Used to Do-Do-Do - California Ramblers

Have I named them all--seems like there's even more.

From Eddie Cantor you have...

No No Nora (1923)

Doodle Doo Doo (1924)

Row Row Rosie (1925)

And then there is always...

Toot Toot Tootsie (1922)
