Hi

I'm trying to remember the title of a song that came out in the sixtys or seventies. Also the artist or group that recorded it. Part of the lyrics are " We'll walk in the sunshine, We'll laugh every day". "And when this day is over, I'll be on my way. Thanks for any help.

I remerbered a little more about this song. It was a lady that sang it. At the begining of the song she tells this guy she will only stay with him for one year. Hope someone can come up with a title. I've got the melody in my head and it's driving me nuts that I can't remember the name of it. Maybe someone has a mp3 they could send me.

I can hear the melody and have heard it many times on oldies radio.... but don't know who did it... It's a folk song from the 1950's... Try the Ray Conif Singers.

Hi
For anyone that's interested I found the song. It's title is "We'll Sing In The Sunshine" by Gayle Garnett. It's available at
Amazon.

WE'LL SING IN THE SUNSHINE

We'll sing in the sunshine,
We'll laugh every day,
We'll sing in the sunshine,
And I'll be on my way.

I know I'll never l ove you,
The cost of love's too dear.
But though I'll never love you,
I'll stay with you one year.

And we can sing in the sunshine,
We'll laugh everyday,
We'll sing in the sunshine,
And I'll be on my way.

My daddy he once told me,
"Hey, don't you love you any man.
Just take what they may give you,
And give but what you can."

We'll sing in the sunshine,
We'll laugh everyday,
We'll sing in the sunshine,
And I'll be on my way.

I'll sing to you each morning,
I'll kiss you every night.
But darlin' don't cling to me,
I'll soon be out of sight.

But we can sing in the sunshine,
We'll laugh everyday,
We'll sing in the sunshine,
And I'll be on my way.

And when our year has ended,
And I have gone away,
You'll often think about me,
And this is what you'll say:

We sang in the sunshine,
We laughed everyday,
We sang in the sunshine,
And then went on our way.

Gayle Garnett wrote and performed it.
