Radio Dismuke is pleased to announce two special broadcasts on the weekend of May 15 and May 16, 2010.

Spring 2010 Texas Record Collectors' Party Broadcast - Eddie The Collector, Matt From College Station, Matt Tolentino and Dismuke come together from various parts of Texas to meet up in Waco, Texas for a "record collectors' party" taking turns spinning fun and interesting 1920s and 1930s 78 rpms from their respective record collections. This broadcast is Matt Tolentino's first appearance on Radio Dismuke. Matt is the leader of the Dallas/Fort Worth based 1920s and 1930s style fox trot orchestra The Singapore Slingers. In addition to sharing records from his personal collection, he will also perform a couple of vintage songs on his accordian.

Spring 2010 Big Band/Swing Era (1935-1942) Broadcast - Matt From College Station and Dismuke present 4 hours of great 78 rpm recordings from the period immediately following that which is normally featured on Radio Dismuke. The first special big band/swing era broadcast aired last fall and was so well received that we have decided to make it a regular compliment to our Texas Record Collector's Party broadcasts

Both programs will air back-to-back in continuous rotation stating with the Texas Record Collectors' Party Broadcast on Saturday May 15 at 9:00 AM Central Time followed by the Big Band/Swing Era Broadcast. The rotation will repeat throughout May 15 and May 16.
